Gave this as a gift & he loved it. The clock has a battery option or a plug in wall cord. Would have given a 5 star rating, but he didn't like that if it's operating only on battery it doesn't light. If he uses the cord it doesn't have a switch to turn off during the day. Consist plugging and unplugging is a little annoying. It looks great on the wall. Only the connection for rechargeble batteries is too big and the container for the battery was a bit to large, so I had to use aluminium paper tot make it fit for the battery.

After writing a less than good review of the clock I ordered I was surprised by the reply from Bricks Masons. Apologies were issued for not meeting my expectations on the clock size, even when my choice of the clock I knew the actual size.
